FROM BREAK-THROUGH TO CLARITY
“The fact that you cannot see the breakthrough doesn’t mean it’s not there.”
Bishop Tudor Bismark
Are you needing breakthrough? Are you waiting for God to do something on your behalf so that you can experience the life that you believe Jesus has made available for you? What if I told you that you have already broken through? That through Christ, the breakthrough you have been praying for, has actually already taken place. I believe that there are many people that have busted through their situation and are still waiting for their moment of victory. Because of all the dust and rubble and debris, they have been blind to what God has done. And what he is doing.
Sometimes breakthrough isn’t what we think. It can be strenuous. And the process is often lengthier than we expect it to be. But one thing is always true. Breaking through is rarely a clean procedure. There will be dust. There will be rubble. There will be the demolition of the wall that separates one season from the next. And if we aren’t careful, we’ll let the dust from our breakthrough keep us from seeing what God has for us next.
First, let’s establish something. The dust and the rubble and the debris is from your BREAKTHROUGH. You have busted through. Don’t be fooled into thinking that, just because it’s dusty and cloudy, you haven’t experienced BREAKTHROUGH. I believe that many of us miss the victory because we don’t allow the dust to settle. We get so enamored with striving that we don’t take the time to rest and appreciate the steps we’ve taken or the walls we’ve gone through. So, stop for a moment. Take a look around. What if the dust and debris that you consider a hindrance to your clear vision is just the evidence of your breakthrough. It will settle. Clarity is coming.
This year could very well be your moment of clarity. It’s not going to be a matter of being without obstacles. It won’t be because you have perfect visibility of the finish line. This is still a faith walk after all. If everything was clear, it wouldn’t be a Kingdom journey. Faith is more about our confidence in God’s provision than it is about our knowledge of what steps to take next.
The kind of clarity I’m referring to is not from physical eye sight. It’s the kind of vision that comes from a Kingdom perspective. This is the kind of clarity that comes when the gift of prophecy is desired and embraced. It’s a clarity that is the result of a prophetic voice looking into the darkness and boldly declaring “LET THERE BE LIGHT.” Like the prophet Ezekiel, it speaks to the dead, dry bones, “COME BACK TO LIFE.” It’s a clarity that is revealed when that prophetic voice, full of faith, looks at the mountain that’s in the way and says “MOVE!”
Most of all, I believe that CLARITY will come, as we decide to embrace the voice of God for ourselves. Unlike the children of Israel, that stiff-armed the invitation to hear from the Lord at Mount Sinai and sent Moses to encounter it on their behalf, we will be open to His voice. We will believe in a relational God that desires to speak to his kids. Also, we will be BLESSED in this season of desiring prophecy. Like Simon Peter, in Matthew 16, when he declared the revelation that Jesus was the Messiah, we too will receive a blessing when we choose to value God’s voice over the opinions of man and the outlook of our circumstances.
Some of you may think you haven’t experienced breakthrough. You may still be waiting for your “situation” or “circumstances” to change before you believe that breakthrough is your reality. But, you have. And, it is. Clarity is coming. In the natural, your situation may stay the same. Your circumstances may still appear to be immovable. And for some of you, the battle is over. Take a look around you. The dust and the debris that you thought was a symbol of the struggle in your past season is actually just evidence of the breaking through into the next.
So, here you are. Standing in the rubble of your breakthrough. It’s YOUR breakthrough. It’s your victory. It happened. And your next step is the first step into a new season of clarity. The doors will open. The paths will straighten. The obstacles will vanish. Maybe not in the natural, but you are a child of the creator of the universe. And you were born not to see things as they are but to see them as they could be. Through His perspective. Not just seeing the problems but knowing and declaring the solutions. Prophecy is a gift that is available. It is a gift that should be desirable. If this truly is going to be a YEAR OF CLARITY, the gift of prophecy needs to be welcomed with expectation.
Imagine if the many parts of the one body of Christ, believed that God’s voice was able to be heard and that His victory was able to be declared. Over our families and our jobs and our obstacles. Over the darkness and dry bones and the confusion sparked by other people’s opinions. That same blessing that Peter received will be ours. And we too will receive the keys to the Kingdom. To loose and bind things on Earth that are loosed and bound in Heaven. And the gates of Hell will not withstand the Kingdom’s advancement in our lives and our communities and our nations. I declare the recognition of breakthrough for God’s people. I declare clear vision for the church. I see it. It’s coming…it’s here.
